Founded in 1993, Gerardo’s Italian Bakery is the dream and passion of Gerardo Sarli. In the bakery business for 30 years, Gerardo learned the craft as an apprentice to old time master bakers. Eventually he mastered everything from breads, to pastries, to elaborate wedding cakes. At that point his mom said, “now you know it all, why not make it your own and open your own bakery.”
So, armed with some great ideas and some of her recipes from Italy, Gerardo’s Italian Bakery was born. Gerardo decided to focus on product quality and customer satisfaction and that has been his goal ever since.
His wedding cakes have been voted “Best of New England” by brides in The Knot magazine for 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Most brides commented not only on the great designs and amazing flavor of the cakes but also on the reasonable price.
These light, delicately flavored macarons are made following traditional French methods using almond flour, sugar and egg whites. These cookies are light and crisp outside and a soft and chewy inside, and our decadant filling flavors change with the seasons.
