Gerardo’s European bakery is looking for experienced counter staff for full and part time positions. We ask at that you have availability for at least 3-4 shifts a week for the first few months. Applicants must be enthusiastic, hard working, possess strong guest service skills, and be able to work in a professional kitchen environment. We are seeking self-motivated employees who work well in a fun, positive, fast-paced team environment with possibilities for advancement. We ask for a minimum commitment of six months for front of house employees, unfortunately, we do not offer seasonal or temporary work.

Pastry Assistant

Gerardo’s European Bakery is seeking a full-time assistant for our early morning shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the production of morning pastry, viennoiserie, scones, muffins, etc.
  • Assist with the production of desserts, tarts, bars, cookies, and cakes
  • Preparing mise en place for pastry chefs
  • Stocking pastry cases to ensure visual appeal and availability of product
  • Assist other staff members with keeping the production space clean and organized
  • Requirements
  • 1+ year experience producing artisan, scratch-made pastry
  • A dedication to the highest quality product possible
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Be detail oriented in following recipes exactly as instructed and in the look and taste of all products
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Punctuality is an absolute MUST
  • A culinary degree in baking and pastry is preferred
